WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL COMPLEX

Following an extensive search, we were selected to design a multi-use facility

encompassing a historic one-room school house.

To maximize the vista of an obscured lake,

we added a level to reveal a full water view through a beautiful arched window.

According to the Mayor, our resourceful design put their town “on the map”

and raised the standing of their community in NJ.

This Complex incorporates a Municipal Building, Police Headquarters,

Court Chambers and the Jack Woods Center for the Township’s 1,700 seniors.

We unified two non-adjacent buildings of incompatible design

into a functional, aesthetic entity.

During construction, we met the challenge

of keeping all municipal functions operative on site.

This elaborate curved staircase, designed by our firm,

is the central interior feature of the building.

The Township has continually returned to our firm

as the needs of their community evolved.
