OCEANFRONT RESIDENCE

A large white house with a balcony and a lot of windows

Welcome to Sea Oats on the Ocean!

Inspired by the design of Gus’ first Modern House,

Laney’s brother Bobby had a dream, his wife Judy shared it

… and together we made his dream come true.

This modern home features expansive windows,

a wraparound deck, and endless ocean views.

A large white house with trees in front of it

Approaching the front of the house,

the driveway reveals a playful arrangement of architectural forms.

A large white house with a garage and palm trees in front of it

The front facade shows the seamless interplay of various building forms.

The home’s soft contrasting color palette and the texture of different materials

add interest to the composition.

A blue door is on the side of a white building.

The blue front door provides a pop of color

and anticipation while entering the house,

protected from the elements by a gray metal canopy.

A black and white drawing of a house with a garage

The seaward and leeward elevations are rendered

to show the various volumes and materials on their facades.

A living room with a couch a fireplace and a flat screen tv

A wall of high windows, adjacent to a 17-foot stone fireplace,

frames a view of the beach and the ocean beyond.

A living room with a couch and chairs and a view of the ocean.

The family room provides a gathering place for entertaining and relaxing …

a peaceful oasis after a day in the sun.

A dining room table with a vase on top of it in a kitchen.

The dining area features a live-edge wood table and bench

that bring a WOW factor to the living space.

The timeless design of the live edge

retains the natural beauty of the tree, becoming a one-of-a-kind work of art.

A staircase with wooden steps and a white railing

The sleek, modern design of this staircase

with cable railings of marine-grade stainless steel,
is an apt choice for this location by the sea,

where even the hardware must be corrosion resistant.

A white staircase with wooden steps and a white railing

As the staircase reaches the second floor,

windows frame blue skies with puffy clouds and bring light into the home.

A staircase with a stainless steel railing and a large window

Beautiful vistas of the sea and landscape

can be observed from the top of the stairs.

A staircase with paintings on the wall and a rug on the wall

Our design provides ample space for our clients to display their art collection.

A bedroom with a large bed and a purple poster on the wall.

Sliding doors in the primary bedroom

open to a private deck with views of sunrise and sunset year-round.

Two chairs on a deck with a view of the ocean

Deck chairs offer a front seat to ocean life.

A flock of birds are flying over the ocean.

Silhouettes of brown pelicans, in formation,

against the Florida sky.

Grateful that their flight path brings them to our house several times a day!

A flock of birds are flying over the ocean.

Oceanside sea breezes,

rolling dunes, slow-crashing waves –

there’s much to love about the shorelines of Florida’s east coast.
