Inspired by the design of Gus’ first Modern House,
Laney’s brother Bobby had a dream, his wife Judy shared it
… and together we made his dream come true.
This modern home features expansive windows,
a wraparound deck, and endless ocean views.
Approaching the front of the house,
the driveway reveals a playful arrangement of architectural forms.
The front facade shows the seamless interplay of various building forms.
The home’s soft contrasting color palette and the texture of different materials
add interest to the composition.
The blue front door provides a pop of color
and anticipation while entering the house,
protected from the elements by a gray metal canopy.
The seaward and leeward elevations are rendered
to show the various volumes and materials on their facades.
A wall of high windows, adjacent to a 17-foot stone fireplace,
frames a view of the beach and the ocean beyond.
The family room provides a gathering place for entertaining and relaxing …
a peaceful oasis after a day in the sun.
The dining area features a live-edge wood table and bench
that bring a WOW factor to the living space.
The timeless design of the live edge
retains the natural beauty of the tree, becoming a one-of-a-kind work of art.
The sleek, modern design of this staircase
with cable railings of marine-grade stainless steel,
is an apt choice for this location by the sea,
where even the hardware must be corrosion resistant.
As the staircase reaches the second floor,
windows frame blue skies with puffy clouds and bring light into the home.
Beautiful vistas of the sea and landscape
can be observed from the top of the stairs.
Our design provides ample space for our clients to display their art collection.
Sliding doors in the primary bedroom
open to a private deck with views of sunrise and sunset year-round.
Deck chairs offer a front seat to ocean life.
Silhouettes of brown pelicans, in formation,
against the Florida sky.
Grateful that their flight path brings them to our house several times a day!
